Lorraine (Loretta) M. Crider, 73, passed away February 17, 2013, at Pathways Hospice at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, CO. She was born November 28, 1939, to Jacob and Margaret (Bosch) Malsom in Aberdeen, SD. She married Paul M. Crider, Jr. on April 19, 1958 in Casper; they moved to Rock Springs in 1962. After working in the Food and Beverage Industry for many years, she decided to go back to school. She attended Casper College for 1 year then attended the Boulder School of Massage Therapy in Colorado; upon graduating in 1992, she returned to Casper to practice massage therapy which she did lovingly for over 20 years. Loretta was a caring, compassionate, and generous person who cherished spending time with family, friends, and her dog Raphael. She enjoyed cooking, golfing, and the outdoors. After receiving a lung transplant in January of 2001, she gave to her community through volunteer work at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church where she offered her time in a variety of jobs including Eucharistic and Liturgical Minister; she also served as Secretary/Treasurer & Community Liaison on the Wyoming Respiratory Board, and was a key spokeswoman for the Smoke-Free Natrona Initiative in Casper. She is survived by her daughters, Susan and husband Duane Lewis of Casper; Janet and husband of Richard Taylor Rock Springs; Anita of Phoenix, AZ; and Nancy of Loveland, CO; 3 sisters Agnes Binfet of Casper, Dorothy Miller of Clovis, NM, Ann Browing of Austin, TX; 1 half-sister Theresa Wilson of Minneapolis, MN, 3 brothers Leo Malsom of Casper, Gene and Diane Malsom and Pius and Shelley Malsom from Tucson, AZ; grandchildren Eric Mitchell of Casper; Holli and husband Jason Radokovich, Dustin Druce and wife Kelly, Rebecca and Stefanie Ruble, all of Rock Springs; Carly Ruble of Loveland; and Ryan Bell of Laramie; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 22 at 10am at St. Anthony's Church, 606 S. Center, Casper, WY. Father Michael Carr and Monsignor O'Neal will officiate. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations are made to the Lorraine M. Crider Memorial Fund, First Interstate Bank, 300 SW Wyoming Blvd, Mills, WY 82644. Cremation has taken place at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland, CO.
